Attorney Review & Claim Processing
 
When a claimant chooses to proceed and completes the required agreement and documentation, the matter is submitted to independent legal counsel for review and claim processing. The attorney is responsible for legal review and legal services associated with the claim. FOUND remains involved in coordinating the recovery process and communicating with the claimant.
 
No Guarantee of Recovery
 
Identification of potential overage funds does not guarantee that a claimant will ultimately receive those funds. Recovery may depend on ownership records, liens, competing claims, probate or estate matters, court or county requirements, deadlines, and other circumstances specific to the claim.
 
Fees

FOUND operates on a contingency-fee basis, with the fee determined based on the individual claim. There is no upfront cost to begin the recovery process. The exact fee and terms are disclosed and agreed to in writing before services begin. Attorney fees and costs associated with processing the claim are included within the agreed fee. FOUND’s fee is due only upon a successful recovery. If no funds are recovered, no fee is owed.
Independent Verification
 
Information concerning property sales and potential overage funds is generally derived from public records. Potential claimants are encouraged to ask questions and may independently verify information with the appropriate county, court, or government office.
